In this role, the selected candidate will provide technical direction and oversight to team leads, driving stronger program execution and greater consistency across all programs within the Los Angeles and (other site) Project Engineering teams.\nEssential Functions:\nCreate vision, strategy, and execute against the plan to help build a best-in-team engineering team.\nOversee and coordinate project engineering team leads for various programs. This includes managing a team of technical leads.\nCollaboration with engineering leadership and program management to ensure program goals and milestones are achieved consistently.\nProvide labor and resource planning to ensure proper staffing.\nProvide performance management, objective setting, succession planning, and talent development.\nPerform conflict resolution and develop performance improvement plans as needed.\nAct as a mentor and coach to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.\nAbility to travel for position: 5-10%.\nAbility to obtain a US Secret security clearance.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant Engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related Engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related Engineering experience.\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nBachelor’s Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.\nExperience with government propulsion customers and prime contractors.\nExperience in leading MRB meetings with program stakeholders.\nExperience in leading engineers across multiple engineering backgrounds and experience.\nStrong comprehensive knowledge of Project Engineering.\nExperienced in business and engineering schedule cadence of both development-type and production-centric programs.\nStrong communication skillsets that involve multiple cross-function engineering organizations, managements, program technical leadership and program management.\nExperience working in the defense industry with an existing US security clearance.\nExperience working as an Integrated Product Team Lead [IPTL].\nIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $127,500 - $236,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
