The Manufacturing Technician will support engineering personnel performing general manufacturing, integration and testing of highly reliable space hardware assemblies of moderate to high complexity. The Manufacturing Technician may be required to perform tasks within a clean room environment, adhering to strict contamination control standards and protocols to ensure product integrity and quality. This role always involves meticulous attention to detail and compliance with cleanroom procedures and attire.\nEssential Functions:\nDevelop the ability to fabricate, assemble, integrate, and align hardware of high reliability subassemblies\nPerform complex electrical integration of thermal electrical subassemblies and components, including electrical boxes, optical assemblies and cables at a subsystem level and/or system and payload levels. \nThe position may require travel of up to 20% \nWill work in cleanroom environments.\nAbility to obtain security clearance.\nMust be able to work non-standard shifts during specific high-priority activities. \nQualifications:\nRequires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate’s degree with minimum 2 years of prior related experience.\nExperience using basic hand tools such as torque wrenches, wire crimpers, hot tweezers for wire striping, heat gun, soldering iron, digital multi-meter, micrometer, calipers, height gauges, dial indicators, etc.\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nNASA 8739 certifications for soldering, polymerics, and cable & harness fabrication.\nIPC-J-STD-001 Space Addendum soldering certifications.\nIPC-/WHMA-A620 Space Addendum requirements and acceptance for cable and wire harness assemblies.\nKnowledge of foreign object debris (FOD) control and tool control processes.\nExperience working in a clean room.\nAbility to read and interpret complex drawings and instructions.\nAbility to work with small parts and hand tools under a microscope or extended periods of
