Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework, troubleshooting, and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.\nEssential Functions:\nFully proficient support individual contributor. Works under limited supervision. May be a resource to other employees in areas of expertise. Assignments are moderately difficult requiring some judgment.\n\nWorks under limited supervision. Less detailed instructions are provided and minimal peer review is required.\n\nCommunicates with contacts typically within and outside the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement. May be a resource to other employees in areas of proficiency.\n\nWork may be structured within identified boundaries and procedures. Follows established processes to complete tasks. Identifies problems and issues in straightforward situations. Resolves most issues.\n\nWorks to achieve operational targets within job area which has moderate impact on the overall achievement of results for the team. Work is of moderate scope, typically on larger, task-related activities.\n\nQualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent with 6 years prior manufacturing experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 2 years prior manufacturing experience\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nManufacturing experience in the assembly and test of complex electronics, optics and/or electro-mechanical assemblies\nExperience reading engineering drawings, test plans, and work instructions.\nAppreciation for building and working hands-on with materials.\nExperience with laser and/or optics is preferred but not mandatory\nLabVIEW, CAD, automation experience is preferred but not mandatory\nExperience with Problem Solving tools and methods\nThrives in a fast pace and adaptable environment.\nDemonstrates the highest levels of integrity, openness, compliance, and honesty in all business
