We are a world-recognized aerospace and defense leader providing propulsion and energetics to its customers throughout domestic and international markets.\nThe NC Programmer is responsible for writing new CNC programs, setup instructions, estimating and making changes to existing CNC programs. Will develop, write and maintain NC programs for complex aerospace components using engineering models, drawings and specifications to support a zero defects machining operations environment. Selects program routines for the most efficient machining methods for each part. Will be involved in the prove out of new technology, first article inspection, fixture design, and day to day programming using Siemens NX12 CAM or Master-Cam.\nEssential Functions:\nAnalyzes engineering models/drawings to define the sequence of machining operations to ensure that the design intent and component quality is achieved.\nUse machine simulation and optimization software (Vericut) to troubleshoot/validate CNC programs and ensure highly efficient and 100% defect-free FTT machining processes. \nModify existing parts programs for engineering changes or program improvements.\nMake proper cutting tool selections, taking into consideration such factors as materials, speeds, type of cutters, feeds and control system imitations.\nWork closely with Machinists, Quality, Engineering, Management and other team members.\nDevelop, write and maintain type II probe and logic macros to perform on machine touch probe measuring, fixture updates, cutter offset updates, and part feature data collection.\nParticipate in knowledge sharing and cross training activity within the NC programming group.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant Manufacturing Engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related Manufacturing Engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related Manufacturing Engineering experience. \nSiemens NX12 or NX1992 NC Programming experience.\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nMaster-CAM NC Programming experience is preferred.\nExpertise in Lathe, Mill-turn, and 5 axis Mill programming of high temp alloy materials.\nVericut experience.\nExperience with Mazak machine tools\nMaster CAM 2022 experience preferred\nDMU Mori with Siemens 840D Experience; Specifically DMU80 FD and DMU65\nNX Post Builder expertise.\nNX Machine tool Configurator expertise.\nFanuc custom macro programming expertise.\nSiemens 840D macro programming expertise.\nIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $96,000 - $178,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
