The successful candidate will serve as a mid-level technical contributor responsible for ensuring secure, reliable, and compliant network operations supporting mission-critical programs.\nThis role requires strong experience with enterprise networking technologies, secure infrastructure design, and troubleshooting within controlled classified environments. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams, and supporting lifecycle upgrades, compliance initiatives, and operational sustainment activities.\nEssential Functions\nDesign, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot classified network infrastructure supporting operations up to the Top Secret level. \nEngineer secure network solutions including routing, switching, firewall, and VPN technologies. \nMonitor and optimize network performance, availability, and capacity across mission-critical environments. \nInvestigate and resolve complex network issues, outages, and security-related events. \nSupport classified network compliance activities including system hardening, audit readiness, and accreditation efforts. \nApply cybersecurity best practices to network architecture, segmentation, access controls, and device configuration. \nCreate and maintain network diagrams, implementation plans, technical documentation, and standard operating procedures. \nExecute network changes in accordance with established configuration management and change control processes. \nPartner with cybersecurity, systems administration, and program teams to maintain secure and compliant infrastructure. \nSupport technology refresh, network modernization, and lifecycle replacement efforts. \nProvide technical leadership and mentorship to less experienced team members as needed. \nParticipate in on-call rotation, scheduled maintenance windows, and after-hours operational support as required \nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience, or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.\nActive Secret security clearance required, or ability to obtain and maintain one as required by the program. \nPreferred Additional Skills\nExperience supporting DoD or other federal classified network environments.\nFamiliarity with DISA STIGs, RMF, NIST 800-53, and related cybersecurity/compliance frameworks.\nCCNA certification.\nExperience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, or equivalent enterprise technologies.\nAdditional certifications such as Security+, CCIE, CISSP or firewall/security vendor certifications.\nExperience with enclave architecture, cross-domain solutions, or air-gapped network environments.\nExperience supporting network modernization, infrastructure refresh, or mission systems integration efforts.\nPrior experience serving as a technical lead, senior engineer, or subject matter expert.\nExperience supporting enterprise network infrastructure in secure or classified environments.\nExperience with routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and network monitoring/management tools.\nStrong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, ACLs, STP, and QoS.\nExperience with secure network design, implementation, and sustainment.\nAbility to troubleshoot and resolve advanced network performance and connectivity issues.\nExperience with technical documentation, network diagrams, and formal change management processes.\nStrong communication and collaboration
