The talent, expertise, and commitment of our people continue to drive our success.\nThe Production Supervisor provides daily leadership and operational oversight for the assembly and integration teams within the Operations Engineering department. This role focuses on executing project-based master schedules in a high-variety, low-volume manufacturing environment. The Supervisor ensures that safety, quality, and productivity targets are met while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.\nEssential Functions: \nTeam Leadership & Development\nSupervise, coach, and develop a team of approximately 10 direct reports across Assembly and Integration functions.\nConduct performance reviews, manage staffing levels, and handle employee relations or disciplinary actions.\nBuild a culture of accountability, integrity, safety, and continuous improvement by fostering strong communication between production, quality, engineering, and planning.\nManage training and development needs to ensure the team maintains required technical certifications and safety standards.\nOperational Execution\nLead day-to-day production operations to meet master schedule requirements and cost objectives.\nFacilitate daily Gemba Meetings to align the team on project goals and resolve immediate floor hurdles.\nMonitor and manage key production metrics, including Hours Per Unit (HPU), Master Schedule Attainment (MSA), and yield.\nLead root cause investigations for production or quality issues and drive effective corrective actions.\nIdentify and execute lean manufacturing activities to improve flow and eliminate waste.\nCompliance, Quality & Support\nEnsure strict compliance with Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) policies and \"Zero Injury Plans\" (ZIP).\nMaintain adherence to ISO 9001 quality standards and ESD-safe requirements.\nProvide operational support for the calibration database, ensuring department tools and testing equipment remain in compliance.\nSupport hazardous material management and documentation requirements for the production floor.\nAdministration & Coordination\nReview and approve employee timesheets and process department procurement requests.\nCoordinate production readiness and resource planning with the Operations Project Manager (OPM).\nProvide timely updates on production performance, risks, and recovery plans to senior leadership.\nQualifications: \nDegree or diploma in Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.\n5-8+ years of experience in production or manufacturing management.\nProficient in French and English.\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nCertified in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma (Green Belt or equivalent).\nProven experience leading diverse technical teams in a production facility with varying levels of seniority and expertise.\nFamiliarity with IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620) and J-STD-001.\nFamiliarity with AS9001 is considered an asset.\nExperience with Infor LN (ERP & PLM) is considered a strong asset.\nEligibility Criteria:\nMust be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;\nMust be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;\nL3Harris is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and is committed to treating all of its employees and job applicants with respect and dignity and to maintaining a workplace free from discrimination.
