The incumbent ensures that all receiving activities are completed accurately, safely, and in compliance with company procedures, quality requirements, applicable regulations, and inventory control standards.\nThe Receiving and Inspection Technician plays a key role in incoming quality control by ensuring that all received products meet technical specifications, contractual requirements, and regulatory standards. The incumbent is also responsible for maintaining accurate inventory transactions in SAP and ensuring full material traceability throughout the receiving process.\nEssential Functions: \nReceiving and Material Inspection\nReceive materials, parts, and products from suppliers and carriers.\nVerify quantities, part numbers, and supporting documentation against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documents.\nInspect incoming shipments for damage, shortages, discrepancies, or other issues and promptly report any abnormalities.\nPerform required visual inspections to confirm the condition and compliance of received products.\nVerify the presence and accuracy of certificates of conformity, material certificates, test reports, and other applicable documentation.\nValidate lot numbers, serial numbers, traceability information, and other required records.\nAccurately record receipts in the inventory management system (SAP).\nIdentify, label, and route materials to designated storage locations or internal users.\nFollow up on receiving discrepancies with Quality, Procurement, and suppliers.\nQuarantine non-conforming products and assist with the processing of non-conformance reports.\nMaintain receiving and traceability records in accordance with internal and regulatory requirements.\nIncoming Quality Control\nVerify the conformity of received products against applicable specifications, drawings, procedures, and contractual requirements.\nConfirm the integrity of packaging and transportation conditions upon receipt.\nReview quality documentation associated with incoming materials and products.\nIdentify, document, and report non-conformances and anomalies.\nCollaborate with Quality, Procurement, and Operations teams to resolve identified issues.\nMaintain inspection and receiving records as required.\nSupport internal, customer, and regulatory audits when requested.\nEnsure compliance with quality procedures applicable to receiving activities.\nInventory Control\nMaintain inventory accuracy through proper transaction processing and inventory handling practices.\nPerform cycle counts and participate in physical inventory activities.\nInvestigate and report inventory discrepancies.\nEnsure proper identification and storage of materials in designated locations.\nMaintain inventory integrity and material traceability.\nProcess authorized inventory adjustments in accordance with established procedures.\nMaterial Handling\nSafely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other lifting devices.\nLoad and unload trucks while complying with all safety regulations.\nMove materials between receiving, storage, inspection, and production areas as required.\nEnsure materials are stored in accordance with applicable storage requirements.\nHazardous Materials Compliance\nReceive, identify, handle, and store hazardous materials in accordance with applicable regulations, company procedures, and safety standards.\nVerify classifications, labels, markings, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).\nEnsure hazardous materials are properly identified, segregated, and stored.\nMaintain accurate records of hazardous material receipts, storage locations, and inventory movements.\nMaintain required certifications for hazardous material handling.\nSupport emergency response procedures involving hazardous material incidents, spills, or exposure.\nWork closely with Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), Quality, and Logistics teams to ensure regulatory compliance.\nPromote a strong safety culture and participate in required training and audits.\nQualifications: \nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required, postsecondary education in Logistics, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Quality Assurance, or a related field is considered an asset.\n1 to 3 years of experience in receiving, material inspection, inventory control, warehousing, or a related environment.\nExperience with inventory management systems, ERP systems, or SAP is considered an asset.\nTransportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR), or equivalent hazardous materials training is considered an asset.\nExperience in receiving inspection or quality control is a strong asset.\nKnowledge of traceability requirements, certificates of conformity, and quality documentation is considered an asset.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.\nGood analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent organizational and time-management abilities.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nBasic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and SAP.\nAbility to read and understand technical, quality, and logistics documentation.\nGood verbal and written communication skills.\nStrong sense of accountability and adherence to procedures.\nAbility to regularly lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs).\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.\nAbility to work in a warehouse or industrial environment.\nEligibility Criteria:\nMust be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;\nMust be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;\nMust be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S.
