The Systems Engineering Lead must have experience with Electronic System Design and leading the HW/SW/FW development efforts for EW or ELINT applications and solving complex problems.\nThe Systems Engineering Lead will define and drive organizational level solutions The position will also support program level execution across the EW business areas. Up to 10% travel may be required.\nEssential Functions:\nThe Lead Systems Engineer will perform the following functions :\nSubject matter expert in Electronic Warfare (EW) and Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) systems\nUnderstand customer mission, customer sets, drives technical strategy within the portfolio\nLeads requirements definition, flow-down and traceability for complex electronic systems embracing agile product systems and software development and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) processes to enhance development speed and quality\nLeads the execution of rapid learning cycles in requirements development, design, build, integration & test and verification & validation in a design-to-cost and design-for-manufacturability environment.\nEliminate technical roadblocks for product and program development\nDevelops, tracks, and presents technical performance metrics\nImproves upon existing Systems Engineering processes \nOversees trade studies on a variety of systems and components \nOversees design verification testing efforts including lab, chamber, ground, and flight test \nOversees simulations and other analyses to predict system performance in various environments \nRepresents programs as the lead engineering interface to customers \nFormulates and presents results during internal and external program meetings.\nDevelop, mentor, and motivate systems engineers to peak performance \nMust be able to effectively interface with portfolio management, program management, and customers \nWorks with Program Managers and SE Program Leads to perform risk assessment and develop mitigation strategies for complex projects.\nDevelops or champions new systems, concepts, or technologies.\nParticipate in proposal activities by approving both cost and technical estimates.\nAbility to lift to 20 lbs \nQualifications:\nActive DoD secret clearance\nBachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nTS/SCI or the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance\nCompetency making decisions with imperfect and incomplete information.\nExperience with requirements management, and requirements management tools.\nSystem-level design experience in which the applicant has been involved in the design and integration and test of complex hardware/software systems, the definition of multiple interfaces.\nMulti-domain knowledge, in particular systems, software, and firmware.\nExperience with integration and test planning.\nExperience in Control Account Management as part of an Earned Value Management System\nExperience with Labview, Python and Matlab.\nExperience with and an understanding of aerospace systems, especially in the development of integrated hardware/software products.\nExperience as an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead.\nExperience leading a team to complete assigned program tasking.\nExcellent people skills, with experience leading and collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment.\nExcellent communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation).\n\nIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New Jersey is $153,000 - $284,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
