The hardware produced at this location is complex, containing circuit card assemblies (CCAs), microelectronics assemblies, cable harnesses, and higher-level system assemblies. The person filling this position will focus on manufacturing engineer support and development for manufacturing various space complex hardware and RF applications. In-depth familiarity with all aspects of circuit card assembly design and fabrication will be highly beneficial in this position.\nEssential Functions:\nDirect support personnel in the day-to-day execution of manufacturing tasks on the production floor.\nProvide technical expertise and support related to manufacturing.\nDevelop and support new methods and processes to improve existing and new operations.\nMonitor defect trends, support and implement process improvements through root cause analysis and corrective actions.\nSupport and lead teams to resolve the manufacturing production yield, quality, and reliability issues.\nMonitor production processes for efficiency, throughput, and safety improvements.\nProvide advanced technical support to solve problems through process improvements related to manufacturing products.\nInterface with design and manufacturing engineers to ensure hardware producibility, developing build strategies.\nDesign and develop manufacturing and engineering tools, strategies, and systems.\nEstimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.\nRead and understand Assembly Drawings.\nWork interactively and effectively in a team environment.\nActively participate in Failure Review Board (FRB) investigations.\nAbility to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance (TS/SCI with Poly)\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.\nSecurity Clearance required upon hire:Clearance Not Required\nSecurity Clearance required for role:Clearance Not Required\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nBachelor’s degree in industrial, Mechanical, and or Manufacturing engineering \nExperience with soldering and working with delicate electronic components.\nWorking knowledge of IPC/J-STD, Space Addendum workmanship requirements.\nFamiliarity with production processes such as Lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement, SPC, and FMEA.\nProficiency with Control or similar MRP-based systems, and Manufacturing Execution Systems.\nExcellence in solving problems as they occur, recommending and implementing improvements related to the production process.\nAbility to manage resources and multiple priorities while interacting with individuals at all levels within the organization and customers as required.\nTS or higher U.S. Government Security
