The L3Harris Integrated Vision Solutions (IVS) sector manufacturing engineering team is responsible for providing our manufacturing operations with the vision, technology, and expertise they need through the entire production process. In this role, you will work with a team of talented engineers and technicians responsible for providing our manufacturing operations with the vision, technology, and expertise they need through the entire production process, from discovery and design to manufacturing and fulfillment.\nEssential Functions:\nSupports development of electrical or manufacturing assembly strategies for new products, including process design and development, process documentation, and fixture design and development\nPlans and supports the build and modification of mechanical and electronics systems including procurement support, assembly method/work instruction generation, tooling design support, material/process development, facilities/equipment planning, implementation of design changes, and resolution of manufacturing, quality, and reliability issues.\nSupports the root cause and corrective action process.\nProvides technical support for launching new equipment to automate and/or enhance production on complex optics or electronics assemblies.\nParticipates in general factory support activities: Lean Huddles, continuous improvement initiatives, failure investigations, and audits.\nSupports divisional and Operations financial and productivity metrics and improvement goals.\nUses lean, process technology, and automation to continuously improve the manufacturing environments driving cost leadership, world class quality and customer satisfaction.\nPartners with Engineering, Manufacturing Quality and Continuous Improvement (e3) to integrate process integrity methods such as xFMEAs and Statistical Process Control (SPC) as a daily way of life.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's Degree and 2 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 6 years prior experience.
