L3Harris is seeking a dynamic Software Engineer who is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining space command and control (C2) systems software. The Software Engineer will work with cross-functional engineering teams to develop and assess software interfaces, operational performance requirements, and overall system design. The ideal candidate should have experience with the full software development lifecycle. This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO.\nEssential Functions:\nParticipating in all phases of the software development life cycle, creating software test procedures, developing software programs, preparing related documentation, conducting peer reviews, identifying, tracking, and resolving software defects\nClearly and succinctly convey information and ideas\nCollaborate effectively with small teams of software engineers\nDevelop software as a Java full stack engineer\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.\nAbility to obtain a Security+ Certification in less than 60 days\nAbility to obtain a US Secret security clearance\nAt least 2 years of experience in software development with a focus on Java full stack development\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nKnowledgeable in the full software development lifecycle from requirements elicitation to deployment\nStrong written and verbal skills\nStrong organization of open software tasks\nUnderstanding of software engineering principles and industry best practices, including Agile development\nAbility to work in a team environment to potentially include duties in other technical disciplines\nExperience with Apache NiFi\nExperience with RabbitMQ message broker\nExperience with relational databases\nKnowledge of asynchronous programming\nFamiliarity with source code repositories (e.g., GitLab)\nExperience with agile development tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)\nUnderstanding of containerization and developing/deploying in containerized environments\nKnowledge of Tanzu and Docker\nIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado state is $74,500-$138,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
