As a Senior Electrical Engineer (EE), you will be a crucial member of our engineering team, supporting end-to-end design and development of high-speed digital electronic modules and circuit boards. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and deriving hardware requirements, developing design concepts that meet these requirements, and performing detailed electrical design of circuitry. This may encompass microprocessors, program and data memories, FPGAs, voltage regulators, power reset sequencers, analog circuitry, and interface transceiver circuits.\nYou will capture designs as schematic diagrams using our CAD tools, participate in design reviews, and collaborate with our ECAD department for layout and routing on printed wiring boards (PWBs). Once the PWB is fabricated and populated with components by our on-campus assembly facility, you will test and verify the electronics assembly, and support firmware and software integration. Our rigorous design review and documentation process includes the creation of requirements specifications, design documents, and comprehensive test plans and procedures.\nEssential Functions:\nSupport the design and development of high-speed digital Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) from concept through production.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and systems engineering to ensure cohesive product development.\nSupport signal integrity analysis and simulations to optimize high-speed data paths.\nDevelop and review detailed schematics, layout designs, and documentation.\nConduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.\nEnsure compliance with industry standards and best practices.\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex design issues.\nStay updated with the latest advancements in high-speed digital design technologies.\nMinimal travel required.\nQualifications:\nBSEE degree with 6 years minimum applicable experience required\nExperience in digital and analog circuit board design and test\nHands-on experience with debugging and testing high-speed digital circuits using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other test equipment.\nExperience with schematic capture and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layout for high-speed digital circuits.\nFamiliarity with PCB layout and design rules for high-speed circuits.\nExperience with standard CAD tools, Mentor Graphics Xpedition preferred.\nKnowledge of signal integrity and power integrity principles.\nBasic programming skills in languages such as Python, C, or MATLAB for test automation and data analysis.\nFamiliarity with hardware description languages like VHDL or Verilog is a plus.\nFamiliarity with standard electronic interfaces, such as I2C, USB, RS-232, Ethernet, SATA, PCIe\nMust have and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nMSEE preferred\nStrong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly isolate and resolve issues.\nEffective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide status updates.\nAbility to work well in a team environment and contribute to collaborative projects.\nStrong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in design and testing.\nAbility to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.\nIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $93,341 - $175,188. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
