Provide technical and engineering participation on the Corporate data network engineering & security team with a firm grasp of networking, routing, Firewalls.\nA few of our employee benefits are:\nHybrid working where possible, three days onsite per week\nFlexible or part-time working arrangements considered upon request\n25 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays), increasing with long service and with the opportunity to buy/sell up to 5 days \nPrivate medical insurance with optional family cover\nPension scheme of up to 7% employer contribution\nLife Assurance 4x salary (flexible up to 10x) \nGroup income protection\nFlexible opt-in extras such as a health care cash plan, dental insurance, gym membership, critical illness cover and cycle to work scheme\nEmployee assistance program providing mental health and wellbeing support \nProfessional membership reimbursement (discretionary) \nWhat the role will involve\nThe responsibilities of your role will include the following:\nInterface with business leaders on strategic planning and design of Cloud and compute services, security, voice, data centre and NOC.\nProviding technical expertise and support in troubleshooting issues and optimising performance. \nDesigns, troubleshoots, documents, implements - (2/3, VPC, VDC, Datacentre Zones, Spanning Tree, VRF, VTP, VLANs, & cabling) problem isolation and resolution.\nSupport day-to-day Firewall and Remote Access changes for Palo Alto Networks devices and services\nProviding technical expertise and support in troubleshooting network issues and optimizing network performance. \nDevises solutions to operational problems within the capacity and limitations of installed equipment.\nIdentifies equipment upgrade opportunities and coordinates acquisition, deployment, and implementation.\nIdentifies and recommends architecture network topology modifications, enhancements, overhauls, migration plans to solve capacity, resiliency, or changing business needs.\nSupports network architectural, engineering review, change planning and other oversight discussions.\nCreate and maintain documentation for use by the network operations, CISO and support teams.\nSupport Tier 2-3 team to resolve complex issues.\nParticipate in on-call support, scheduled weekend outages, and disaster recovery activities as required\nRespond to Cyber Security incidents and proactively engage with relevant stakeholders.\nPrimarily office based with occasional travel to other UK and EMEA sites.\nWhat you’ll bring\nThe role requires the following experience and skills:\nBachelor’s Degree with 8 years of prior related experience or Graduate Degree with 6 years of prior related experience.\n5-10 years Network/IT Security experience at an Enterprise/large scale level \nExperience using one or more of the following platforms: Palo Alto Firewall (physical and virtual), Palo Alto Networks services (threat, Prisma, GlobalProtect, etc.), cloud services (Azure, AWS)\nCertifications such as CISSP, CISA, PCNSE, Security+, CCNA\nExperience with SDWAN implementation and/or support.\nExperience with logging and monitoring tools (Splunk, Spectrum, Thousandeyes, etc.)\nExtensive knowledge and experience of Core Routing and Switching design, configuration, and troubleshooting.\nAdministration Experience with Hyperconverged technologies such as Nutanix, Cohesity etc\nWindows/Linux server administration\nImportant to know\nDue to the nature of our work many our roles require a UK nationality and the ability to obtain a security clearance.
