The position also maintains dotted-line alignment with functional process leaders to ensure consistent execution of processes, procedures, technical standards, and department expectations across the assigned disciplines.\nEssential Functions:\nAbility to obtain a US Secret security clearance.\n10% travel based on business needs.\nOwn financial and schedule performance for Waco-based Specialty Engineering work and provide visibility to priorities, risks, and recovery actions.\nServe as the primary point of contact for Waco Specialty Engineering site execution and performance, including escalation support and day-to-day coordination.\nLead execution across four assigned Waco-based teams spanning 6 different engineering disciplines (System Safety, Reliability & Maintainability, Integrated Logistics Support, Technical Publications, Technical Training, Configuration Management), including staffing alignment, workload balancing, and issue resolution.\nCoordinate with Waco engineering team leads, program leadership, and local stakeholders to align priorities, staffing, dependencies, and execution plans.\nProvide people leadership for assigned teams, including goal setting, performance reviews, development planning, recognition, and corrective action as appropriate.\nPartner with functional process leaders to ensure consistent application of procedures, tools, standards, training, and best practices across assigned disciplines.\nDrive collaboration across Waco functional groups and with the broader Specialty Engineering organization to improve communication, responsiveness, and execution discipline.\nSupport implementation of department processes, priorities, metrics, and expectations, and communicate status, risks, and support needs to department leadership.\nEnsure compliance with applicable customer requirements, company policies, contractual obligations, and process requirements relevant to assigned Specialty Engineering work.\nDrive continuous improvement through standard work, metrics, lessons learned, and local execution reviews.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree and minimum 12 years of prior engineering experience.\nGraduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.\nIn lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of prior engineering experience.\nDemonstrated experience leading technical or engineering teams in a regulated environment.\nDemonstrated experience owning execution performance, staffing coordination, and issue resolution for site, program, or functional work.\nDemonstrated experience overseeing employee performance management, team development, and organizational effectiveness.\nDemonstrated experience working effectively in a matrixed organization with direct and dotted-line coordination across multiple functions.\nPreferred Additional Skills\nExperience supporting Specialty Engineering disciplines (System Safety, Reliability & Maintainability, Integrated Logistics Support, Technical Publications, Technical Training, Configuration Management) and coordinating execution across multiple functional teams.\nExperience supporting aerospace and defense programs across development, production, and sustainment.\nExperience using metrics, standard work, and operating reviews to improve local execution performance.\nExperience partnering with engineering, quality, operations, supply chain, or program teams to resolve execution issues.\nExperience leading work in an on-site production or engineering environment.\nAdvanced degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Business Administration.\nActive US Secret security
