The ideal candidate will take ownership of significant system-level responsibilities and demonstrate the flexibility to adapt as program needs evolve.\nKey responsibilities may include technical leadership and support across the full product lifecycle, encompassing requirements definition, concept generation, material selection, trade studies, design sensitivity and optimization analyses, preliminary and final design, design documentation, and assembly, integration, and testing.\nThe successful candidate will bring hands-on experience in 3D modeling and the design and development of critical hardware, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. A willingness to work in a laboratory environment and engage directly with hardware is essential.\nEssential Functions:\nAbility and desire to take full ownership of tasking while working with limited supervision in a variety of high consequence program activities\nProvide regular communication and briefings, both formally and informally, to internal and external stakeholders, including customer representatives\nGeneration of Technical Data Package components (Part and Assembly drawings, etc.).\nPrototype, Integrate, and Test component parts and assemblies\nDevelop test plans and procedures for mechanical subsystems\nPerform test and evaluation of component parts and systems\nParticipate in peer reviews, PDRs, CDRs, and other required design reviews\nParticipate in product change review meetings and discussions and implement changes\nParticipate in interdisciplinary design teams and reviews\nHighly organized and detail oriented\nAble to work independently with limited supervision\nAdhere to company processes for product development, configuration management, purchasing, quality, etc.\nDirect Designers, Technicians, and Operators as part of a design team\nSupport field testing/demonstration efforts as an ME field representative\nAbility to obtain and maintain security clearance\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
