Working in close partnership with the Program Manager (PM), the PE ensures that engineering efforts remain aligned with program objectives, technical requirements, budget, and schedule.\nTravel may be required up to 20% based on business needs.\nEssential Functions:\nLead and communicate effectively with a diverse engineering and production team, consisting of multiple engineering disciplines to develop solutions that meet contractual requirements\nInterpreting statement of work requirements into engineering direction for execution\nPrepare Engineering proposal briefings and support other engineering functions in the development of their bids.\nProject planning and guidance within scope, schedule and budget\nWriting and delivering presentations on product status at program reviews\nReview, approve and sign off on technical contractual deliverables to the customer.\nBroad understanding of engineering processes and policies\nServe as the Technical Point of Contact for the Technical Evaluation of proposals with the customer\nPrepare effective presentations to communicate technical information to the customer and senior leadership\nWork projects across all phases of the contract (requirements, design, manufacturing, integration and testing)\nSubcontractor Management\nAircraft modification and certification\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of relevant prior experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant prior experience.\nExperience with and/or working knowledge of preparing a proposal, reviewing bids and supporting the proposal through submission and customer technical evaluation.\nExperience with and working knowledge of aircraft systems, aircraft maintenance, aircraft modification and aircraft sustainment. \nActive DoD Secret Security Clearance \nPreferred Additional Skills:\nExperience working successfully in a team environment\nInterpreting statement of work requirements into engineering direction for execution\nAircraft certification to include Military Commercial Derivative Aircraft, FAA Supplemental Type certification, and Military Airworthiness certification.\nGround, aircraft, space or shipborne mission system integration expertise\nIntelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Systems experience\nRequirements Verification and Validation\nAeronautical Engineering (electrical, structural, mechanical, stress, mass properties, aerodynamics, etc.)\nCost, Estimating, CAM (Control Account Management), and/or EVM (Earned Value Management) experience\nAbility to work independently with minimal direction using continuous problem solving\nSystem troubleshooting and field support\nInteracting with flightline operations personnel for testing and systems
