The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with RF measurements, automated test solutions, troubleshooting complex hardware issues, and working in cross-functional engineering environments. This role will contribute to the validation of RF hardware across development, qualification, and manufacturing phases.\nEssential Functions:\nDesign automated test systems to be used in production testing with multi-unit capabilities, automated fault detection and test reporting.\nDevelop, execute, and document test plans, procedures, and reports for components, subsystems, and full system assemblies involved in product testing.\nDesign and Perform RF measurements including gain, noise figure, phase noise, power output, spurious response, sensitivity, intermodulation, EVM, BER, and spectral emissions.\nSet up and operate RF test equipment such as:\nSpectrum analyzers\nSignal generators\nVector network analyzers\nPower meters\nOscilloscopes\nTroubleshoot and isolate RF performance issues at the board, module, and system level.\nManage projects as an IPT with minimal supervision.\nSupport design verification and validation testing for transmitters, receivers, synthesizers, converters, filters and amplifiers.\nDevelop automated test solutions using, LabVIEW and Test Stand\nAnalyze test data and provide clear technical conclusions and recommendations to design teams and program leadership.\nCollaborate with design, systems, manufacturing, quality, and production teams to resolve technical issues.\nSupport environmental, qualification, and compliance testing as needed.\nCreate and maintain test documentation, calibration requirements, and configuration-controlled records.\nAssist in transitioning test methods from development into manufacturing or production environments.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline and a minimum of 6+ years of experience in RF test, RF integration, or related engineering roles or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and minimum 4+ years of experience in RF test, RF integration, or related engineering roles\nActive US Secret security clearance\nPreferred Additional Skills:\n Strong understanding of RF/microwave principles, including:\nS-parameters (Gain/Loss/VSWR/Return Loss)\nGain compression\nNoise figure\nLinearity\nPhase noise\nFrequency response\nHarmonics/Spurs\nExperience integrating, and testing RF hardware across development and/or production environments such as Filters, Amplifiers, Attenuators, Diplexers, Couplers, Circulators, Mixers, Splitters, Switches, and limiters\nExperience with digital modulation analysis and communications measurements.\nHands-on proficiency with common RF lab instrumentation.\nExperience interpreting schematics, block diagrams, interface control documents, and test requirements.\nAbility to troubleshoot and root-cause hardware and measurement issues.\nExperience with encryption/decryption devices and systems.\nExperience with test automation and data analysis tools.\nExperience with schematic capture, and PWB design.\nExperience with wireless communications, telemetry, radar, EW, SATCOM, or aerospace/defense RF systems.\nExperience with automated test equipment architecture and script-based test development.\nExperience with Labview, Test Stand, Python,and others\nKnowledge of environmental and qualification testing for ruggedized hardware.\nExperience with Linux, VHDL, and general development board platforms like ZYNQs, Zed Boards, Arty Boards, etc…\nExperience supporting design-to-production transitions.\nExperience generating and deriving system requirements from product specifications, RVTMs, VCRMs, and translating to Validation Plans.\nIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, The salary range for this role in California is $106,500 - $197,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
