This role leads significant features, integrations, and technical problem solving across the software development life cycle while working closely with systems engineering, software peers, and program leadership. The ideal candidate brings strong system software experience, sound technical judgment, and the ability to influence technical direction for features or subsystems in support of complex development programs.\nEssential Functions:\n\nDevelop software for embedded devices and systems from requirements through production and support.\nLead significant software features, integrations, and technical execution activities across the development life cycle.\nWork closely with cross-functional team members to develop operational performance requirements, interface software and hardware components, and collaborate on system design.\nSupport and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and formal testing.\nContribute to software test plans, procedures, and other relevant technical documentation.\nParticipate in peer reviews, identify, track, and repair defects.\nCollaborate with a cross-functional engineering team and help define technical direction for features or subsystems.\nUtilize a variety of software languages and tools on Windows, Linux, and embedded real-time operating systems.\nSupport software bids and proposal inputs in response to customer requests and government requests for proposal.\nTravel is minimal.\nQualifications:\n\nBachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
