This role is responsible for administering, maintaining, and securing information systems and infrastructure in compliance with cybersecurity and government security requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong system administration experience, hands-on knowledge of cyber operations support, and familiarity with compliance frameworks such as DAAPM/DAAG and RMF.\nThis position requires an individual who can manage system performance, apply security controls, support accreditation activities, and work closely with cybersecurity, engineering, and program teams to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical systems.\nEssential Functions:\nAdminister, maintain, and support Windows and/or Linux-based systems in secure and controlled environments\nPerform system configuration, patch management, account management, backups, recovery, and performance monitoring\nImplement and maintain cybersecurity controls in accordance with organizational and government requirements\nSupport system hardening efforts using Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), security baselines, and best practices\nAssist with vulnerability management activities, including scanning, remediation, and mitigation tracking\nSupport Assessment and Authorization (A&A) efforts and maintain compliance documentation for accredited systems\nWork within the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process to support security control implementation, assessment, and continuous monitoring\nProvide support for security audits, inspections, and compliance reviews\nCoordinate with Information System Security Managers (ISSMs), Information System Security Officers (ISSOs), engineers, and program stakeholders to resolve system and security issues\nMaintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, and configuration management records\nTroubleshoot hardware, software, network, and security-related issues in a timely manner\nSupport incident response and recovery activities as required\nEnsure systems are operated and maintained in accordance with classified environment requirements\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.\nBachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience in system administration, cybersecurity operations, or secure systems support. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. \nActive Secret security clearance required.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nHands-on experience administering Windows and/or Linux operating systems.\nFamiliarity with DAAG and RMF.\nExperience applying security hardening practices, patching, and vulnerability remediation.\nKnowledge of system administration in secure or classified environments.\nAbility to support compliance documentation and security control implementation.\nExperience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs or classified systems.\nFamiliarity with STIG implementation, ACAS, SCAP, HBSS, or similar security tools.\nExperience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware.\nUnderstanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, identity and access management, and endpoint security solutions.\nKnowledge of backup/recovery processes and disaster recovery planning.\nRelevant certifications such as Security+, CySA+,
