In a fast-moving and increasingly complex world, this role contributes to advancing agile technologies that help create a safer and more secure future.\nThe Manufacturing Engineer will develop manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes, while collaborating closely with engineering project teams to support the successful release of new products. This position is responsible for estimating and tracking manufacturing costs, establishing time standards, and recommending tooling and process requirements for both new and existing product lines. The role also ensures accurate maintenance of records and reporting systems to support the coordination and continuous improvement of manufacturing operations.\nEssential Functions:\nDesign, optimize, and maintain manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost performance\nDevelop manufacturing strategies for assigned products and production processes\nPartner with engineering project and other cross-functional teams to coordinate and support new and existing products.\nEstimate and monitor manufacturing costs and production time standards\nRecommend tooling, equipment, and process requirements for new and existing product lines. Produce in-house tooling when capability exists.\nMaintain manufacturing records, documentation, and reporting systems\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations\nEvaluate and define manufacturing processes using drawings, military specifications and documentation used in the fabrication and production of military electro/mechanical products. \nPlan, develop and facilitate the implementation of processes and procedures required to assemble CCB, electro/mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and systems to reduce cost, improve quality and scheduling.\nDevelop, maintain and generate SAP routers for new and existing products.\nDevelop and maintain Work Instructions for new and existing products.\nSupport the operational team to meet schedule, quality and cost expectations.\nSupport the operations strategic plan and maintain its alignment to the overall program strategic plan.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.\nStrong CAD, mechanical fabrication, and 3D modeling skills; 3D printing experience a plus\nFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, value stream mapping, and continuous improvement\nKnowledge of PFMEA, control plans, work instructions, and process validation\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nExperience with process development, optimization, and sustainment in production environments\nAbility to lead complex manufacturing projects with minimal supervision\nExperience with new product introduction, production transition, and ramp-up\nKnowledge of root cause and corrective action methods such as 8D, 5 Whys, fishbone, and CAPA\nExperience with SPC, process capability analysis, and data-driven decision-making\nExperience improving tooling, fixtures, and production layouts for safety, quality, and efficiency\nUnderstanding of DFM/DFA and manufacturability principles\nAbility to collaborate across engineering, quality, supply chain, operations, and program management\nExperience improving cycle time, yield, throughput, labor efficiency, and cost\nFamiliarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred), MES, and production documentation control\nStrong technical writing, communication, and presentation skills\nAbility to mentor junior engineers, technicians, and support staff\nExperience with supplier support, producibility issue resolution, and complex or high-reliability manufacturing environments\nKnowledge of equipment qualification, acceptance testing, capital equipment implementation, and factory modernization\nProficiency interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, BOMs, and configuration-controlled documentation\nStrong problem-solving skills with focus on quality, schedule, cost, and
