The Solid Propulsion Design Engineer supports component- and system-level design activities for solid propulsion systems across development and production programs. This role evaluates design options, supports engineering problem-solving, coordinates with cross-functional teams, and contributes to improvements in performance, manufacturability, and cost. The engineer may lead small project teams, collaborate across engineering functions, and participate in design reviews to ensure technical accuracy and program success.\nEssential Functions\nPerform engineering assignments requiring the application of propulsion design concepts, engineering practices, and industry standards.\nInterpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements to ensure compliance with technical expectations.\nInvestigate design considerations such as manufacturability, inspect ability, material selection, strength-to-weight tradeoffs, and cost.\nPerform engineering calculations and tolerance analyses in accordance with configuration and design requirements.\nSupport development of alternative design solutions and resolution of engineering issues.\nPrepare and revise Creo 10 CAD models and drawings of moderate complexity within the Windchill PLM system; manage assemblies and engineering Bills of Materials.\nSupport checking and validation of engineering product definition for compliance with company standards, design directives, and customer requirements.\nExplain job-area processes, practices, and procedures to internal stakeholders.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s Degree and 4 years of related engineering experience;
