This role manages billing activities for a variety of contract types, including cost-reimbursable, time-and-materials, CPFF and FFP contracts, while monitoring funding profiles, unbilled balances, and billing ceilings. The Biller works closely with program management, contracts, accounting, and customers to resolve billing issues, analyze variances, support sales outlook reporting, and maintain complete audit-ready documentation.\nEssential Functions:\nPrepare and submit invoices in accordance with contract terms and customer requirements\nReview billable costs for accuracy, completeness, and compliance prior to invoicing\nProcess billing for various contract types, including cost-reimbursable, time-and-materials, and fixed-price contracts\nMonitor contract funding, billing ceilings, and unbilled balances\nCoordinate with program managers, contracts, and accounting to resolve billing discrepancies and support timely invoice submission\nAnalyze billing activity, funding status, sales outlook, and billing variances\nMaintain complete and accurate billing documentation and records\nResearch and resolve customer billing questions, rejected invoices, and payment issues\nEnsure billing practices align with internal controls, government regulations, and contractual requirements\nAssist with audit requests and other financial reviews as needed\nAbility to obtain a US Secret security clearance \nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.\n4-8 years’ experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and PowerPoint\nKnowledge of Deltek Costpoint and IBM Cognos Report\nExperience with cost-reimbursable contracts such as CPFF and T&M\nKnowledge of government contracts, funding profiles, sales outlook and variance analysis preferred\nIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington State, DC and Virginia (Greater D.C. area), Denver, or NYC areas is $76K-$141K. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont and Virginia (outside of Greater D.C. area) is $67K-$124K. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
