Under general direction, this role is responsible for implementing design and analysis tasks and overseeing special studies and experiments. Additionally, this role will coordinate ballistic, thermal, and structural analyses, as well as perform post-test examination, analyses, and reporting while supporting the program technical lead.\nEssential Functions:\nDetermines approaches to objectives demonstrating a complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, and practices.\nSupport Engineering teams working on solid rocket motor development and production program tasks/problem resolution, etc. Coordinate engineering work; manage technical progress, risk, schedule, and cost as needed.\nMonitor technical progress and interface with Program Management, L3 Harris customers, and other L3 Harris functional organizations to understand and develop resolution to program technical issues.\nProvide technical consultation to Program Management and Business Development organizations for business development activities such as writing white papers or preparing and presenting technical briefings to customers.\nProvide inputs to written and verbal status reports to Engineering lead, L3 Harris Management, and provide input and leadership at product team meetings.\nConceive and plan projects involving the development of new methods to attain objectives.\nProvide direction in problem investigations and resolution across functional areas.\nKeep current in relevant technologies and methods in support of project assignments.\nMay provide technical guidance to less senior project engineers and project support personnel.\nMay be assigned engineering Cost Account Management (CAM) duties.\nAbility to obtain a US secret security clearance.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior Project Engineering experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 2 years of prior Project Engineering experience.
