They will serve as the primary Quality Engineering representative supporting assigned programs and customer requirements throughout production and test activities\nEssential Fuctions:\nEnsure product compliance, configuration control, effective corrective actions, and adherence to customer, regulatory, and company quality requirements while supporting production objectives and customer deliverables.\nReview test data packages to ensure compliance with procedures, specifications, and acceptance criteria\nVerify traceability between hardware configuration, test results, and documentation\nSupport troubleshooting and resolution of test anomalies and discrepancies\nParticipate in product acceptance and release activities\nSupport customer inspections, source inspections, witness points, and quality-related program deliverables\nAssist with customer audits, data package preparation, and quality documentation activities\nInterface with program teams, customers, and internal stakeholders to resolve quality-related issues\nServe as a Quality Lead supporting manufacturing operations through in-process and final inspection activities\nProvide real-time quality support to production personnel to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, procedures, and workmanship standards\nReview inspection results and ensure quality concerns are appropriately identified, documented, escalated, and resolved\nDrive containment activities when product or process issues are identified\nQualifications:\nRequires practical knowledge of manufacturing quality principles, inspection methods, and quality systems\nBachelor’s Degree with a minimum of two (2) years of related experience; OR Graduate Degree with zero (0) to two (2) years of related experience; OR in lieu of a degree, a minimum of six (6) years of directly related experience\nExperience in a manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or highly regulated environment preferred\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nStrong understanding of manufacturing quality systems, inspection methodologies, and production support processes\nWorking knowledge and application of Quality Tools including Root Cause Analysis, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagrams, Pareto Analysis, Control Plans, PFMEA, and statistical problem-solving techniques\nExperience with First Article Inspection (FAI) activities and understanding of AS9102 requirements and associated documentation packages\nKnowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and tools including Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma principles, Kaizen, defect reduction initiatives, and process improvement techniques\nExperience with nonconformance management, root cause investigations, corrective action development, and effectiveness verification\nStrong understanding of configuration management, traceability requirements, and controlled documentation practices\nExperience using ERP systems such as SAP for quality planning, inspection activities, and material control processes\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, manufacturing documentation, and customer requirements\nFamiliarity with auditing techniques and quality management systems including ISO 9001, AS9100, and related regulatory requirements\nStrong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills\nAbility to work effectively across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment\nExperience in a manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or highly regulated environment preferred\nIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Maryland is $73,000 - $135,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
