This role integrates security into system design, supports accreditation activities, and collaborates closely with Systems Engineers, Software Engineers, Program Management, and IT teams. The individual maintains current knowledge of applicable cybersecurity policies, NIST standards, and RMF processes while supporting both internal engineering teams and external customer requirements.\nEssential Functions:\nParticipate in system design activities, providing cybersecurity input to ensure secure architectural, physical, technical, and administrative controls.\nIdentify system and network information protection needs and support the integration of cybersecurity measures throughout the system lifecycle.\nSupport secure configuration and assessment of network components such as switches, routers, and firewalls.\nGenerate supporting technical artifacts such as functional block diagrams, cabling diagrams, and use-case diagrams.\nDevelops all applicable documents needed to satisfy contractual requirements and provide artifacts to customer to integrate into their government data package. \nInteract directly with customers and authorization officials to define and achieve cybersecurity objectives.\nMaintain awareness of current cybersecurity policies, directives, standards, and best practices, including NIST 800-171 and 800-53.\nAssist Systems Engineers and other Cybersecurity Specialists with requirements analysis and constraint evaluation.\nManage cybersecurity-related task schedules, deliverables, and budgets as needed.\nAbility to obtain a US Secret Clearance.\nBe willing to work a flexible schedule and up to 10% travel.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant cybersecurity experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related cybersecurity experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related cybersecurity experience. \nSecurity+ certification.\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nSecurity Engineering with accreditation experience.\nKnowledge of NIST 800-171 and NIST 800-53r4 or later.\nCISSP Preferred.\nFamiliarity with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) is a must.\nFamiliarity with Platform Information Technology (PIT). \nExperience hardening Windows based operating systems. \nExperience with routers and firewalls.\nExperience with systems integration and cross-domain engineering teams. \nExperience with RMF processes (DoDI 8510.01) and cybersecurity accreditation.\nFamiliarity with vulnerability assessment tools.\nExperience analyzing system specifications and requirements to derive cybersecurity
