Conducts on-site training consisting of lectures, and practical exercises in accordance with approved programs of instruction using lesson plans, technical manuals, student guides, handouts, practical exercise worksheets, and both written and hands-on evaluations.\n\nEssential Functions:\n\nThe following, but not limited to, are the overall Technical Trainer responsibilities:\nWorks with customers and functional organizations to establish training requirements.\nPerforms analysis to determine master training lists, learning objectives, and course content.\nDesigns and develops instructional material \nCommunicate with supervisors and managers from the floor to adjust training as needed\nProvides technical training in a classroom environment \nUpdates existing instructional material to reflect manufacturing upgrades and capabilities.\nConducts continuous improvement of course material to maintain quality and effectiveness.\nResponsible for the day-to-day operation of the training area, including the cleanliness and upkeep of training rooms \nPerform administrative tasks including, but not limited to, course evaluations, project grading/posting, computer-based ordering of supplies/tools, and performance evaluations of students\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.\n\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nPrevious training experience \nPrevious experience as a classroom instructor \nFamiliar with Training Needs Analysis (TNA) or Training Systems Requirements Analysis (TSRA) to identify training needs by job, position, and/or employee to perform the duties to the desired standard under the prescribed conditions.\nDevelops and presents logistics product technical documentation and instructional material.\nOutstanding communication (written and verbal) skills.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office suite to include Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.\nPossess excellent technical skills to understand and translate information into presentable instructional material.\nFamiliar with ITAR policies and procedures.\nIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is [$63,500 - $117,500]. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
