This role necessitates a strong understanding of industry standards, internal command media and extensive practical experience to support development and deployment of best practices. The QPE is expected to coordinate with internal and external customers to quickly resolve manufacturing issues and utilize their technical background to proactively drive process improvements.\nThis position will have a heavy emphasis on Configurations Operations processes.\nEssential Functions:\nLeads audit and inspection preparation, resolves findings, and serves as liaison with auditors, inspectors, and DCMA on quality-related matters.\nManages quality projects and coordinates cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of deliverables.\nDevelops, analyzes, and reports quality metrics and production quality data to assess process and program health.\nConducts investigations, studies, and research to resolve recurring discrepancies and improve process performance.\nSupports the Quality function through product integrity and quality control activities, including as-built BOM development, hardware traceability, and acceptance data package creation.\nSupports development and implementation of program quality plans, procedures, and standards compliance activities.\nInterfaces with internal and external stakeholders to communicate requirements, resolve issues, and recommend corrective actions, dispositions, and process improvements.\nCommunicates effectively, both orally and in writing, to provide technical explanations, build agreement, and support decision-making.\nWorks toward operational targets within the job area that contribute to overall team and program results.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 0-2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nExpertise with PTC Windchill and manufacturing planning tools such as Delmia.\nWorking knowledge of Quality Configuration Operations practices, principles, and Configuration Management best practices.\nKnowledge of system validation processes.\nExperience with risk management processes and PFMEA.\nFamiliarity with ERP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).\nAbility to manage, analyze, audit, interpret, and evaluate large data sets and processes.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related quality experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0-2 years of prior related quality experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related quality experience.\nValid driver’s license; employees who drive on company business to carry out job-related duties must possess a valid driver’s license for the class of vehicle driven and meet automobile insurability requirements of the company.\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nAdvanced degree in a related field.\nCQE and/or CSSBB.\nAPQP and or Zero Defect Planning Experience.\nMDA experience.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills.\nStrong interpersonal skills.\nAbility to analyze, evaluate and develop solutions to a variety of situations.\nMust consistently meet commitments.\nIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $73,000 - $136,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
