Engineer applies basic engineering design and/or analytical theory with understanding of structural analysis for application to integrated system design.\nEssential Functions:\nResponsible for research, development of layouts, preparation of engineering drawings, and coordination of design activities with Tooling, Flight Sciences, Manufacturing, and Production to ensure that designs meet requirements at minimum cost.\nDesigns will be accomplished using world-class, three-dimensional solid modeling CAD tools and work will be accomplished with senior-level design engineers.\nMechanical design engineers can work on a wide variety of tasks and aircraft systems on various aircraft platforms.\nAbility to walk to and from the flight line, work in aircraft hangar environment and board/exit aircraft is required.\nUnderstanding of basic aircraft systems.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nWorking knowledge of MS Office suite.\nWillingness and ability to travel is needed.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.\nOther duties as assigned by Supervisor.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience designing detailed parts, assemblies, and installations for aircraft structures, mission equipment installations, and mechanical system installations.\nGraduate Degree with zero (0) to two (2) years of experience designing detailed parts, assemblies, and installations for aircraft structures, mission equipment installations, and mechanical system installations.\nIn lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of experience designing detailed parts, assemblies, and installations for aircraft structures, mission equipment installations, and mechanical system installations.\nMinimum 2 years CAD skills (NX/Unigraphics preferred, ProE, Catia).\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nActive DoD security
