This is early-career engineering position with a growth path to higher-level positions. As a Sr. Associate Systems Engineer, you will perform tasks independently with guidance from senior Systems Engineers for Systems Engineering analysis, development, design, requirements, maturation, maintenance, and verification and validation over the program lifecycle. The Navigation/GPS products operate in military embedded real-time systems and can be used in weapons, ground, airborne, maritime, and space environments.\nEssential Functions:\nGeneration, traceability, allocation, verification, validation of requirements specifications.\nIntegration and test planning, including generation of plans and procedures.\nConduct trade studies.\nGeneration of functional block diagrams, use-case diagrams.\nPerform system reliability and maintainability analyses.\nPerform system safety analyses.\nCreation and presentation of design review materials.\nUnit-level and system-level integration and testing, both in the laboratory and in the field.\nVerification of system interfaces.\nAbility to obtain Active US DoW Secret clearance or higher.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or similar STEM major with a minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience. A Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or similar STEM major with 0 to 2 years additional prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.\n2+ years of previous experience with DOORS, Cameo, MATLAB/Simulink, or C/C++, including coursework.\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nSoft skills (I.E. Proficient in MS Office, Strong communication…)\nFamiliarity or interest in GPS, GPS Receivers, or Assured Position, Navigation, Timing (APNT).\nMust have strong verbal and written communication skills.\nMust work effectively in both independent and team environments.\nExperience with RF Signal Processing, Digital Signal Processing (DSP), and/or GPS/INS algorithm development.\nExperience in Kalman Filters (KF/EKF), Adaptive Filtering, Optimization Theory and Design.\nExperience in Modeling and Simulation (M&S).\nActive US DoW Secret clearance or higher a plus.\nIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $80,500 - $149,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
