Engineer applies basic engineering design and/or analytical theory with understanding of structural analysis for application to integrated system design.\nEssential Functions:\nResponsible for research, development of layouts, preparation of engineering drawings, and coordination of design activities with Tooling, Flight Sciences, Manufacturing, and Production to ensure that designs meet requirements at minimum cost. \nDesigns will be accomplished using world-class, three-dimensional solid modeling CAD tools and work will be accomplished with senior-level design engineers. \nMechanical design engineers can work on a wide variety of tasks and aircraft systems on various aircraft platforms.\nAbility to walk to and from the flight line, work in aircraft hangar environment and board/exit aircraft.\nUnderstanding of basic aircraft systems.\nFamiliarity with aircraft structural repairs, STC’s, or general modification.\nExcellent written, verbal, communication skills.\nWorking knowledge of MS Office Suite.\nWillingness and ability to travel is needed.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. \nOther duties as assigned by Supervisor.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree with six (6) years of Mechanical design experience in aerospace industry.\nGraduate Degree with four (4) years of Mechanical design experience in aerospace industry.\nIn lieu of a degree, a minimum of ten (10) years of Mechanical design experience in aerospace industry.\nMinimum 4 years CAD skills (NX/Unigraphics preferred, ProE, Catia).\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nActive Secret security
