RTS designs, develops, tests, and field over 30 systems to collect and process flight test data including radar, telemetry, communication, range safety, and underwater acoustic systems.\nSuccessful candidates perform complex professional systems engineering assignments requiring advanced problem-solving skills.\nEssential Functions:\nSupport digital engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).\nConducting trade studies.\nGeneration of requirements specifications.\nGeneration of functional block diagrams, use-case diagrams, etc. \nIntegration and test planning, including generation of plans and procedures.\nInterfacing with the other engineering disciplines (e.g. mechanical, project, etc.) to ensure proper coordination of the systems aspects of the project.\nGenerate and/or update drawings, parts lists, Engineering Orders, wiring lists, diagrams, and schematics.\nGeneration of Engineering Change Orders.\nCreation and presentation of design review materials.\nVerification of system interfaces.\nUp to 10% business travel.\nWork to influence others to accept individual or team’s views or practices and changes to concepts, practices, and approaches.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. \nActive US Secret Security Clearance.\n5+ years of direct Engineering experience.\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nDirect experience working with at least one of the following technologies: Underwater Acoustics, Telemetry, Communications, Data Recording systems, and/or Radar.\nExcellent written and oral communication skills.\nDemonstrated initiative, drive, and interpersonal skills.\nFamiliarity with DOORS requirements management software\nFamiliarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)\nProficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint\nIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $106,500 - $197,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
