This function is essential to the success of the organization as it is a critical step in the delivery of complete products to the customer. Other tasks include providing administrative and clerical support specifically related to supply chain and procurement department activities.\nDuties include:\nMaintaining files, logs, records of invoices, purchase orders and other related documentation.\nMaintaining information on computer systems. \nAssisting in expediting orders. \nMay assist buyers in contacting vendors to obtain prices and schedule delivery dates. \nPreparing standard requests for quotations and purchase requisitions.\nAssignments may require initiative regarding pricing revisions, order cancellations, discontinued items, acceptable substitutes, delivery date revisions, invoice discrepancies, change order logs, etc.\nEssential Functions:\nEnsure delivery dates are current and obtainable in the system.\nClosely communicate with suppliers to maintain industry best On-Time delivery standards.\nCoordinate part requirements and product needs between several internal groups including Program Management, Program Finance, Engineering and Material Managers/Planning.\nSystem supplier management.\nSupport buyer roles.\nResolve invoice issues ensuring payments to supplier on time.\nQualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience, or, 2 years post Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. \nPreferred Additional Skills:\nExcellent people skills, with experience leading and collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment.\nExcellent communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation).\nExperience working and interfacing with Suppliers, Manufacturing, Inventory Management, Quality, and Engineering.\nOrganizational skills.\nKnowledge of FAR/DFAR procurements\nPrevious experience using MRP systems\nIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in the Greater D.C. area is $21.15 - $39.18 per hour. The salary range for this role in Virginia outside the Greater D.C. area is $18.27 - $33.65 per hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
