As Manager, Energy Design Engineering, you will lead the electrical studies, capacity analysis and risk assessments that translate venue requirements into reliable, resilient and sustainable power. Working with Venue Infrastructure, Technology, Broadcast and external delivery partners, you will convert evolving venue designs into coordinated, data-driven energy plans and gain career-defining exposure to delivering the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead electrical studies and energy capacity analysis that determine load requirements, identify supply gaps and drive data-driven masterplan optimization.\nAnalyze energy-related risks to venue power supply and recommend solutions meeting loading, reliability and resiliency needs.\nEvaluate how Venue Management design revisions affect temporary power overlays on existing HV/MV/LV infrastructure and equipment.\nIntegrate internal stakeholders with temporary power providers, design engineers and overlay resources through a coordinated review and approval process.\nAlign Energy design with Venue Infrastructure, Technology, Broadcast, Energy Program Management and the International Olympic and Paralympic Committees.\nRequired Competencies\nMinimum 5 years of relevant experience with electrical infrastructure and/or temporary electrical infrastructure design and delivery, preferably in the sport or live event industry.\nDirect experience managing electrical design development, from load studies and energy capacity analysis through design revisions, reviews and stakeholder approvals.\nExperience implementing sustainable energy solutions into electrical design, balancing sustainability goals with loading, reliability and resiliency needs.\nDemonstrated commitment to co-creation and collaborative decision-making.\nExperience working with a diverse range of stakeholders and proven success at building excellent working relationships with internal teams and external partners.\nValued Experience\nFamiliarity with AutoCAD, Revit and BIM360.\nFluency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and the Office suite.\nPresenting concisely to executive leadership, external contractors and governmental agencies.\nExceptional attention to detail, organization and problem-solving skills.\nExperience managing change and mitigating project risk.\nWhat We Offer\nOwnership of the energy designs powering Olympic and Paralympic venues across Los Angeles.\nCareer-defining exposure to temporary power delivery at an unmatched global scale.\nClose collaboration with Olympic and Paralympic partners and cross-functional specialist teams.\nA high-performance culture guided by optimism, integrity, excellence, inclusion, co-creation and boldness.\nWhat This Role Means for the Games\nEvery competition, broadcast and fan experience at the LA28 Games depends on dependable power. Your designs will ensure each venue receives safe, resilient and sustainable energy, contributing to a lasting legacy for Los Angeles and the Olympic and Paralympic Movement.\nPhysical Requirements & Working Conditions\nAvailable to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office.\nThe majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment.\nThe LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment.\nHours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods.\nPerform other duties as required; the role will evolve over time and may include operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.\nTravel as needed to external stakeholder offices, government agencies, and Games venues and facilities.\nCompensation\nThe annual base salary range for this position is $115,000 - $140,000. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role.
