Labconco is seeking an experienced Assembler to join our Kansas City headquarters manufacturing team. This is a 90-day temporary-to-hire position with the opportunity to become a regular full-time employee based on performance, attendance, and business needs. Employees who successfully transition to regular full-time status are represented by the International Association of Machinists (IAM) and are eligible for the wages, benefits, and protections provided under the collective bargaining agreement.\nWhat You'll Do\nAssemble mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical components into laboratory equipment and subassemblies\nRead and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics\nInstall, route, and connect electrical components, wiring harnesses, switches, sensors, motors, and controls\nPerform mechanical assembly using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices\nVerify completed assemblies meet engineering specifications and quality requirements\nIdentify and troubleshoot assembly, fit, and wiring issues during the production process\nFollow manufacturing procedures, bills of material, and work instructions\nCollaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to resolve product or process concerns\nMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work area\nRequirements\nWhat We're Looking For\nPrevious experience in mechanical, electrical, or electro-mechanical assembly\nAbility to read and work from blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings\nExperience assembling products with both mechanical and electrical components\nStrong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail\nFamiliarity with hand tools, power tools, and common measuring equipment\nAbility to work efficiently while maintaining high quality standards\nDependable attendance and a strong commitment to workplace safety\nPreferred Qualifications\nManufacturing experience involving industrial equipment, machinery, control panels, electronics, or similar products\nTechnical training in electrical, electronics, industrial technology, or a related field\nExperience with wire routing, crimping, electrical terminations, and electrical subassembly work\nFamiliarity with basic testing and troubleshooting procedures\nWhy Join Labconco?\nAt Labconco, you'll help manufacture highly engineered products used in laboratories across the globe.
