Labconco is seeking a Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team operating turret punch press equipment used to fabricate sheet metal components for our laboratory products.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for someone with machining or metal fabrication experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where quality, safety, and craftsmanship matter.\nSchedule\n2nd Shift: Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM\nOvertime available and occasionally required based on production needs\nInitial training will be completed on day shift\nWhat You'll Do\nSet up and operate turret punch press equipment to fabricate sheet metal components according to specifications\nRead and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production documentation\nPerform machine adjustments and tool changes as needed\nInspect finished parts for quality and conformance to specifications\nUtilize precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances\nMonitor machine performance and report equipment issues\nMaintain accurate production and quality records\nFollow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives and assist with other manufacturing duties as assigned\nRequirements\nQualifications\nRequired\nExperience operating manufacturing or machining equipment\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions\nExperience using precision measuring instruments such as: Calipers\n Micrometers\n Tape measures\n Thickness gauges\n\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\nAbility to regularly lift, move, and handle materials in a manufacturing environment\nPreferred\nSheet metal fabrication experience\nExperience operating turret punch press, punch press, CNC, laser, or similar metalworking equipment\nKnowledge of manufacturing tolerances and quality standards\nPrevious experience in a fabrication or metalworking environment\nWhy Labconco?\nFor more than 100 years, Labconco has manufactured laboratory equipment that supports scientific discovery and innovation around the world.
