This role supports study setup, maintenance, and execution, ensuring accurate logistics documentation and global compliance. The Logistics Solutions Specialist II manages a portfolio of complex studies and collaborates closely with internal teams and external partners. \n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities \nCollaborate with Setup Managers, Strategic Client Managers and Project Managers to ensure that all logistics needs for assigned projects / programs are clearly defined and documented. \nManage 20-40 studies at a time, which are classified as complex with a high level of importance. \nProvide immediate response to Project Management on logistics queries and concerns. \nServe as the primary logistics contact for Project Management and Client Services and is in direct contact with Sponsors and/or Contract Research Organizations in case of specific logistics topics. \nInvestigate, with support of colleagues in the logistics team, feasibility for shipping lanes in support of client objectives for site and laboratory locations; make recommendations for transit strategies. \nSupport in creating a document of site-instructions, i.e., Starter Packs, in collaboration with the selected carrier(s). \nDevelop logistics and customs compliance strategies and processes for assigned projects / programs. \nDevelop and execute processes for drafting and managing pro-forma and shipment-specific invoices across all partners, vendors and regions. \nManage all logistics documents required for movement of materials and biological specimens across global borders for assigned projects / programs; review and facilitate signatures per site/country. \nExplain the performance of international carriers and logistics solutions of the assigned projects / programs, based on data. \nImplement and maintain processes to handle daily transactions as necessary to ensure timely movement of products from origin to destination for assigned projects / programs. \nAssume all responsibilities of other roles in the Logistics Team when required in support of assigned projects / programs. \nParticipates in investigation and corrective/preventive actions for Quality Events related to logistics failures in assigned projects / programs. \n\nEducation and Experience \nBS or MS in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field preferred; a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree. \n4+ years of industry-related logistics experience in managing clinical studies required. Experience managing complex clinical studies preferred. \nKnowledge of international supply chain processes, carriers, third party logistics companies, forwarders, couriers, and transportation performance measures required. \n\nSkills and Ability \nAble to operate at a fast pace and manage multiple deliverables simultaneously with tight deadlines. \nStrong communication skills. \nAble to work independently. \nExemplary multitasking and organizational skills. \nMust have excellent interpersonal skills and maintain both a proactive and positive attitude. \nFull fluency in English \nMust have strong math abilities \nAbility to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry is preferred. \nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP software. \nExperience leading and mentoring others preferred. \n\nSupervisory Responsibilities: None \nPhysical Demands: \nWhile performing the duties of this job, the occupant is regularly required to: \nProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. \nProlonged use of a computer and headphones for conference calls. \nCommunicate effectively via phone, video, and email. \nUse hands and fingers to operate a computer and other office equipment. \nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. \nOccasionally required to reach with hands and arms \n\nTravel Requirements: No travel required \nOne Global Team \nAt LabConnect, we are proud to be one global team: united by our shared mission to advance clinical trials through innovation, agility, and collaboration.
