Together, we’re improving health and improving lives.\nLabcorp is seeking an Animal Care Technician to join our dynamic team in Greenfield, IN!\nWork Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:30am-3:00pm\nweekend rotation required\nJob Responsibilities:\nThe Animal Technician plays a critical role in supporting research by providing daily care, monitoring, and sanitation for laboratory animals. This position ensures animals receive proper husbandry, while maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant facility environment.\nProvide daily care for all species housed within the animal facility (feeding, watering, observing health)\nChange cages and bedding; clean and sanitize animal rooms, pens, and equipment.\nOperate automated cleaning equipment, including cage washers and tunnel washers\nDispose of animal waste and soiled bedding according to sanitation and safety standards\nMaintain accurate documentation of all cleaning, sanitation, and husbandry activities\nObserve animals for signs of illness, injury, or distress and promptly report concerns\nAssist with facility support tasks such as inventory, record keeping, and laundry duties\nMinimum Qualifications:\nNo minimum qualifications\nPreferred Qualifications:\n6 months or more of related animal care experience or relevant certifications, including husbandry, veterinary assistance, or laboratory support\n6 months or more of demonstrated consistent work history of reliable, structured, and dependable professional performance\nAdditional Job Standards:\n18 years of age or older\nFlexibility to work overtime as needed\nComfortable working in environments that follow strict sanitation and animal care protocols\nComfortable working in Animal Research facility\nExceptional customer service\nStrong communication skills: both written and verbal\nAbility to work independently or in a team environment\nComfortable working under minimal supervision\nPay Rate: $18/hr.\nBenefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
