We are seeking a dynamic Lab Supervisor to join our Cytology department, located in Raritan, NJ!\nCytology Supervisor’s responsibilities and requirements associated with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Cytology Department and the microscopic evaluation of cellular material using established morphologic criteria under the direction of the Cytology Technical Supervisor/Pathologist are specified. This position also functions as an integral member of the team while maintain professional interactions with all staff and offering support to other team members. This position will oversee 10-16 technical employee and will be responsible for providing technical and operational oversight over in the Cytology department.\n**Pay Range: $120,000 - $165,000 annually\nAll job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.\nBenefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. For more detailed information, please click here.\nSchedule: Monday - Friday (between the hours of 6:00am and 7:00pm)\nJob Duties/Responsibilities:\nSupervision of the screening area and technical oversight of the Cytology laboratory\n\nMaintain the qualifications required for quality control for all Cytotechnologists\n\nEnsure proper coverage and scheduling to maintain department TAT expectations\n\nMonitor workload allocations to ensure all Cytotechnologist are within compliance regulations\n\nComplete competency trainings and appraisals for the entire Cytology team\n\nPerform inspections and validations of methodology and instrumentation\n\nResponsible for statistical compilation and analysis for all work performed in the department\n\nScreening of all liquid based cytology, both manual and imaged, as well as conventional slides\n\nPerform microscopic evaluation of cytological specimens following laboratory procedures\n\nEnsure proper documentation of workload recording as required by CLIA guidelines\n\nComply with all safety, infection control and HIPAA policies\n\nReview daily workload cases called unsatisfactory by Cytotechnologists and render a final report\n\nScreening of all liquid based cytology, both manual and imaged, as well as conventional slides\n\nDevelop and review Standard Operating Procedures on a consistent basis\n\nMaintains the CME documentation for the entire Cytology department\n\nMaintains Cyto-biopsy correlation and 5 years review of NILM\n\nProcess and maintain payroll and personnel files\n\nRequirements:\nBachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university\n\nSuccessful competition of an accredited Cytology program\n\nASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) Certification is required\n\nMinimum 6 years of experience as a Cytotechnologist\n\nThinPrep and Surepath certifications are a plus\n\nMaintain the qualifications required for QC Cytotechnologist.\n\nDemonstrated understanding of Cyto preparation techniques\n\nAutomated and non-automated testing experience is preferred\n\nFamiliarity with laboratory information systems (LIS)\n\nHighly organized and strong attention to detail\n\nStrong communication skills; both written and verbal\n\nIf you're looking for a career that offers opportunities for growth, continual development, professional challenge and the chance to make a real difference, apply today!\nLabcorp is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer:\nLabcorp strives for inclusion and belonging in the workforce and does not tolerate harassment or discrimination of any kind.
