Together, we’re improving health and improving lives.\nIntern - Accounts Payable Accountant (AP Intern)\nLabcorp is seeking an Intern - Accounts Payable Accountant to join our team in Shanghai, China.\nInternship Details:\nDuration: 20 weeks, full-time/Onsite\nDates of Internship: Dec 2026-May 2027\nCompensation: Paid internship\nEligibility: Final-year students who are expected to graduate in July 2027 are preferred. \nHowever, students at all academic levels who are pursuing relevant fields of study are encouraged to apply.\nAbout Team:\nDuring this role, the AP Accountant will join the China Finance Controller team and be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounts payable operations. The individual will work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure timely and accurate invoice processing, payment execution, vendor account reconciliation, and issue resolution. In addition, the AP Accountant will support month-end closing activities, compliance requirements, and process improvement initiatives to maintain effective and efficient AP operations.\nInternship Assignment Summary:\nAssist with supplier invoice verification, data entry, and document filing.\nSupport vendor account reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items and discrepancies.\nMaintain vendors master data and ensure information accuracy and completeness.\nProvide daily financial data compilation, reporting, and analysis support as required by the team.\nAssist in preparing supporting documentation for audits, tax filings, and internal control reviews.\nReview and map daily Accounts Payable processes, support the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), identify opportunities for process improvements, and recommend efficiency enhancements.\nProvide ad hoc support on finance and accounting-related projects assigned by the supervisor.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Economics, with an expected graduation date in 2027.\nStrong Excel skills with proficiency in commonly used formulas and functions.\nStrong analytical and logical thinking skills with good attention to detail.\nGood communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nProficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and able to independently create process flowcharts, training materials, and presentation decks.\nGood written and reading proficiency in both Chinese and English, with the ability to handle English emails and financial documentation.\nExperience with Oracle ERP systems.\nAdditional Job Standards:\nGood organization and multitasking ability.\nHave the “can-do” and proactive mindset when resolving issues.\nExceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.\nAble to communicate effectively with excellent verbal/written communication skills.\nGood communication skills.\nCreative and self-motivated individuals who work collaboratively in a high-performance team environment.\nAbout the Program As a Labcorp intern, you’ll be immersed in hands-on work that complements your academic background.
