Together, we’re improving health and improving lives.\nLabcorp is seeking aLaboratory Process Improvement Intern to join our General Laboratory team in Geneva.\nWork Schedule:\nMonday-Friday.\n40hrs per week (with flexibility to consider an 80% working schedule).\nJob Responsibilities:\nWorking with laboratory colleagues and process owners, you will help assess and improve two operational workflows: delayed batched testing and the MSDS review process.\nMap the current delayed batched testing process, documenting key steps, responsibilities, handoffs, decision points, and timing.\nReview the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) review workflow with the teams involved to understand requirements and identify bottlenecks, duplication, and unclear responsibilities.\nGather staff feedback and analyze available operational data to distinguish necessary waiting steps from avoidable delays.\nDevelop proposed workflows and prioritize improvements based on expected benefit, feasibility, and quality requirements.\nSupport a pilot of selected improvements where feasible, define measures to assess their impact, and document recommendations and next steps for process owners.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nCurrent enrolment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Analytics, Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related discipline\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCurrent enrolment in a Master’s degree program in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Analytics, Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related discipline\nAdditional Job Standards:\nYou must be a student and be eligible for an internship agreement with a third party\nIntermediate level in English and in French required\nCuriosity and willingness to understand how processes operate in practice by observing activities and asking questions.\nA structured approach to gathering information, analyzing problems, and documenting findings.\nAbility to work collaboratively, listen to different perspectives, and communicate recommendations respectfully.\nInitiative and the ability to manage agreed tasks independently under supervision.\nAttention to detail and commitment to confidentiality, quality requirements, and laboratory procedures.\nAbout the Team:\nThe General Laboratory team in Geneva supports laboratory testing for clinical trials, working across scientific disciplines and with colleagues who coordinate technical information and client requirements. During this internship, you will collaborate with colleagues to improve how teams share information, deliver data, and monitor their activities.
