Labcorp is seeking a Research and Development - Molecular Intern to join our Research and Development Team located in Westborough, MA!

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40hrs per week

Job Responsibilities:

• Work under the guidance of a senior scientist on a project related to clinical molecular testing

• Clearly and regularly document all experiments in detail in a laboratory notebook

• Participate in weekly staff meetings and data discussions

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Biological Sciences, Biology, Chemistry or Life Sciences

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-year of biological or sciences courses
• 1-year hands-on laboratory courses

Additional Job Standards:

• Interest in molecular assay development as it relates to clinical testing

• Collaborative, curious and eager to learn new laboratory skills and scientific concepts

• Dependable, proactive and willing to take initiative

About the Team:

The Research & Development team at Westborough designs and develops new molecular assays, evaluates novel technologies, provides technical expertise to other departments, validates assays for clinical regulatory submissions and pursues research questions relevant to clinical diagnostic testing. We work collaboratively with R&D and bioinformatics scientists throughout Labcorp to build new products that will enhance current and future clinical testing.

Internship Details:

• Duration: 11 weeks, full-time
• Dates of Internship: June1, 2027-August 13, 2027
• Compensation: Paid internship; relocation assistance available for qualified candidates
• Eligibility: Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec 2027 through June 2029 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however, all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply

Pay Range: $17.75-$20/hr

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
