Together, we’re improving health and improving lives.\nLabcorp is seeking a Laboratory Robotics Operator to join our team in Burlington, NC.\nWork Schedule: Monday-Friday 11:00pm to 7:30am\nJob Responsibilities\nIntroduce and prepare biological specimens to the laboratory to ensure accurate processing\nOpen specimens and pour off into secondary containers to prepare for analysis and testing\nVerify patient demographic information matches the test requisition form submitted\nData entry of patient information into the computer system for tracking purposes\nMeet key production metrics and quality measures to ensure timely and accurate results\nUnpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas\nPack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities when required\nProperly prepare and store excess specimen samples\nResolve and document any problem specimens\nHandle and dispose of medical and chemical waste\nComply with applicable environmental health and safety policies and procedures\nOperate automated instrumentation under supervision if necessary\nMinimum Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nPreferred Qualifications\n3 months or more of specimen processing experience\n3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience\nAdditional Job Standards\nPrevious experience using automated equipment\nComfortability with handling biological specimens \nAbility to accurately identify specimens \nBasic computer knowledge and data entry skills\nAbility to work independently and within a team environment\nHigh level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask\nAbility to work in a fast paced production environment and meet established turn-around times\nStrong communication skills; both written and verbal\nAbility to handle the physical requirements of the position\nAble to pass a standardized color blindness test\nFlexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs\nAt Labcorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives.
