Together, we’re improving health and improving lives.\nLaboratory Supervisor\nLabcorp is seeking aLaboratory Supervisor to join our team inSaitama Japan.\nJob Responsibilities:\nSupervises the day to day production and non-production activities of the local departmental employees.\n\nDirectly monitors the quality of testing services provided by employees under his/her supervision.\n\nAssigns appropriately trained personnel and ensures sufficient number of staff are available to complete the workload.\n\nSchedules department personnel appropriately to match the demands of the daily workflow with in the supervised area.\n\nProvides direct supervision to employees, including assignments, technical and behavioral performance counseling, and troubleshooting.\n\nSchedules and supervises all non-production activities and obligations of her/his area, such as validations, surveys, etc.\n\nProvides support as required to the department manager to assist in the fulfillment of his/her responsibilities, including acting as manager, upon delegation, during absences.\n\nAssures quality and timely performance of both production and non-production activities under supervision.\n\nReports performance and results against targets and global standards.\n\nEnsures regulatory compliance within his/her supervision.\n\nCommunicates all production and non-production standards, guidelines and information to the supervised staff.\n\nEnsures on-time delivery of performance reports (PT, QC/PM, Internal and External QC) and responses to inquiries from other functional areas.\n\nParticipates in and supports client visits, audits and inquiries, as necessary, to ensure complete fulfillment of requests and interests.\n\nRecruits, trains, and contributes to retention efforts of employees.\n\nConducts technical training and development of staff as needed.\n\nSupports the departmental manager in assessing and meeting the resource needs.\n\nSupports the development of plans to meet future resource needs.\n\nEvaluates the performance of employees.\n\nWorks with department manager to establish training plans for the supervised staff.\n\nSupports the manager in employee evaluations and development plans.\n\nSupports marketing and sales as needed in their efforts to meet specific client requests for testing services.\n\nPerform other duties as required, including testing of patient samples in areas of competence.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor degree in Biology, Chemistry or other Life Sciences, or Medical Technology degree.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n6 or more years of laboratory experience following clinical training, including supervisory or management experience.\n\nProfessional certification (e.g., ASCP, AABB).\n\nFluent in English and Japanese.\n\nAdditional Job Standards:\nGood communication skills.\n\nGood computer literacy.\n\nAt Labcorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives.
