Together, we’re improving health and improving lives.\nLabcorp is seeking a Pathology Support Team Lead to join our team in Shelton, CT.\nWork Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:30am-5pm) one Saturday a month\nJob Responsibilities\nAssist in the supervision of the day-to-day operations of the Pathology department\nHelp lead the team in their daily processes and procedures\nAssist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing\nEncourage process improvements and best practices\nPerform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy\nResolve any production errors as requested by management\nResearch and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessary\nEngage in continuous process and service level improvements\nPerform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy\nResponsible for enforcing and managing policies and procedures\nPerform administrative duties as needed\nMinimum Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED\n3 years or more of pathology experience\nPreferred Qualifications\n2 years or more of transcriptionist experience\n1 year or more supervising or leading a team\nAdditional Job Standards\nUnderstanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures\nStrong computer skills; Proficient with Microsoft Office programs \nAbility to work independently and within a team environment\nHigh level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask\nAbility to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet established turn-around times\nStrong communication skills; both written and verbal\nAbility to handle the physical requirements of the position\nAble to pass a standardized color blindness test\nFlexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs\nAt Labcorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives.
