Join us in our mission to improve health and improve lives.\nLabcorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Training Coordinator to join our team in Lake County and Northwest Illinois territory.\nWork Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm, additional days and hours may be required\nJob Responsibilities:\nAssist with the onboarding of new employees as well as initial training to ensure a positive new hire experience\n\nProvide on-going group and individualized training for purposes of work performance enhancement and general education\n\nDeliver training in the areas of company and department policies and procedures, department related competencies and Lab Information Systems\n\nDevelop and implement appropriate resources and programs to accomplish training objectives\n\nEvaluate and update existing training materials and plans\n\nServe as a procedural and compliance resource for department employees\n\nSupport leadership with their goals in relation to quality and service metrics\n\nAssist with the creation of improvement plans for underperforming employees\n\nMaintain accurate logs and records for all trainings conducted\n\nProvide training with respect and professionalism at all times\n\nAssist with the workflow during times of high volume or when coverage is needed\n\nMay travel to client sites and other branches to assist in training\n\nResearch industry related information when necessary\n\nAdditional administrative tasks as needed\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or GED or equivalent\n\n3 years or more of Phlebotomy experience drawing patients of all ages\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n1 year or more experience training employees\n\n1 year or more experience as a people leader\n\nAdditional Job Standards:\nStrong communication skills; both written and verbal\n\nHigh attention to detail and time management skills\n\nProven track record in providing exceptional customer service\n\nFlexibility to travel throughout territory for training purposes\n\nComfortable working under minimal supervision\n\nBasic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office\n\nValid driver's license and clean driving record\n\nAble to pass a standardized color blindness test\n\nAt LabCorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives. If you are passionate about helping people and have a drive for service, then LabCorp could be a great next career step!\n**Pay Range: $19.00- $29.00 per hour\nAll job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data\nPhlebotomist’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics\nBenefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
