Join us in our mission to improve health and improve lives.\nWork Schedule\nThis is a full-time, exempt (salaried) position assigned to a First Shift schedule, with standard business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Business needs may occasionally require flexibility in work hours, including earlier, later, or additional hours, with reasonable notice provided when possible.\nResponsibilities:\nSystem Administration & Support\nMaintain up-time, user access, and overall stability for LIS/LIMS platforms and middleware.\nTroubleshoot complex application bugs, system errors, and data transmission failures.\nManage the application support ticket queue, prioritizing business-critical issues.\nAct as the primary liaison between laboratory operations, corporate IT, and third-party software vendor.\nConfiguration & Interface Management\nConfigure analytical test profiles, workflow rules, calculations, and reporting formats.\nBuild and maintain HL7 data exchange interfaces between laboratory applications and Electronic Health Records (EHR).\nMap new test codes, billing protocols, and clinical documentation fields.\nCompliance, Validation & Quality Assurance\nLead Computer System Validation (CSV) efforts, including writing and executing IQ/OQ/PQ protocols.\nAuthor and manage change controls, system documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).\nEnsure strict compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GxP, HIPAA, CAP, CLIA).\nMaintain audit-ready system logs and safeguard data integrity principles.\nProject Leadership & Training\nDrive application life cycle projects, including major software upgrades and database migrations.\nConduct end-to-end (E2E) regression testing for software updates and environment refreshes.\nDesign and deliver training materials for laboratory clinicians, technicians, and secondary IT staff.\nCoach and mentor application development team on laboratory workflows.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree.\nFive or more years of hands-on experience supporting clinical LIS or scientific LIMS applications.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nFive or more years of experience working in a heavily regulated environment in either healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or biotech.\nFive or more years of experience with HL7 standards, interface messaging protocols, and TCP/IP data routing.\nFive or more years of experience administering laboratory middleware architecture. \nThree or more years of experience writing database queries (SQL) for custom data extraction and reporting. \nThree or more years of experience with computer systems validation frameworks.\nAdditional Job Standards:\nExceptional analytical and problem-solving skills under high-pressure clinical deadlines.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills to bridge technical IT concepts with clinical personnel.\nProject management capabilities to balance daily production tickets alongside long-term strategic projects.\nThe Senior Laboratory Information Application Support Specialist provides expert-level application consulting, technical support, and system administration for core laboratory information systems. This role ensures compliant, secure, and highly reliable operations by overseeing system configuration, workflow optimization, and regular software upgrades.
