Together, we’re improving health and improving lives.\nSenior Method Development Scientist-Immunochemistry\nLabcorp is seeking a Senior Method Development Scientist-Immunochemistry\nto join our team in Shanghai, China.\nJob Responsibilities:\nActs as a technical mentor for junior and mid-level staff, providing hands-on guidance in complex experiments.\n\nSupports development of training materials or structured learning activities.\n\nAssists in identifying technical skill gaps within the team and provides coaching.\n\nMay coordinate small groups during execution of complex workflows or new method implementation.\n\nIndependently performs highly complex and non-routine laboratory analyses, including difficult or unstable assays.\n\nExecutes advanced methods and workflows, including those based on new platforms or technologies.\n\nHandles complex sample types, matrices, or analytical challenges with high reliability.\n\nDevelops, optimizes, and adapts analytical methods for various compounds and biological matrices.\n\nApply scientific principles to design experimental approaches for method improvement and adaptation.\n\nImplements and adapts new methodologies or technologies into laboratory workflows.\n\nWrites and revises methods, SOPs, and technical documents.\n\nIndependently leads to resolution of complex, non-routine, or ambiguous technical issues.\n\nDesigns and perform troubleshooting experiments and identify root causes.\n\nDevelops practical and scientifically sound solutions for complex assay/system issues.\n\nProvides expert-level data interpretation and recommendations.\n\nApplies and supports implementation of new analytical platforms or technologies.\n\nTroubleshoot issues related to new systems and optimize performance.\n\nContributes to technology transfer and method transfer activities.\n\nTrains, mentors, and support junior and mid-level staff in laboratory techniques and troubleshooting.\n\nProvides hands-on guidance during complex experiment execution.\n\nActs as a go-to technical resource within the team.\n\nProvides input into technical approaches and experimental design discussions.\n\nShares best practices and contributes to improving team technical capability.\n\nCollaborates across teams to solve complex scientific problems.\n\nEnsures compliance with SOPs, GLP/GCLP, and regulatory standards.\n\nPerforms QC data review and ensures data integrity.\n\nIdentifies and escalates risks or deviations and supports CAPA implementation.\n\nIdentifies and drives improvements in analytical methods, workflows, and lab efficiency.\n\nContributes to enhancing reproducibility, robustness, and data quality.\n\nMinimum Required:\nBachelor Degree in biology, chemistry, pharmacy, and pharmaceutical analysis.\n\n5 years of experience in large molecule bioanalytical method development.\n\n3 months or more experience using computer and office software applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, MS-Access and Outlook).\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nDemonstrated experience in analytical method development, optimization, and adaptation for complex compounds and biological matrices.\n\nHands-on experience with advanced analytical platforms (e.g., LC-MS/MS, hybrid assays, ligand binding assays, or equivalent technologies).\n\nProven ability to apply and implement new technologies or platforms, including method transfer and troubleshooting.\n\nStrong experience in resolving complex and non-routine technical challenges, including assay instability, matrix effects, or instrumentation issues.\n\nExperience working with challenging sample types or low-abundance analytes.\n\nExperience in training, mentoring, or onboarding junior staff in laboratory techniques and troubleshooting.\n\nSolid understanding of regulated laboratory environments (GLP, GCP, GCLP) and data integrity requirements.\n\nExperience in writing or revising methods, SOPs, and technical documentation.\n\nAdditional Job Standards:\nAbility to work independently while contributing to team-based problem solving across functions.\n\nDemonstrated capability to interpret complex datasets and provide scientific conclusions.\n\nAt Labcorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives.
