Together, we’re improving health and improving lives.\nLabcorp is seeking a Lab Supervisor to join our team in Phoenix, AZ.\nWork Schedule: Monday - Friday 12:00pm - 8:30pm\nJob Responsibilities:\nSupervise the day to day operations of the Flow Cytometry department\nTravel up to 20% to assigned Labcorp sites\nEnsure laboratory tests are accurately performed and results are reported in a timely manner\nDirectly supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel of the department\nMonitor daily workflow in the lab and schedule adequate assay coverage\nResearch and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessary\nEngage in continuous process and service level improvements\nEnsure all equipment is being properly maintained through Quality Control\nPrepare and maintain Quality Assurance records and documents\nEvaluate new process improvements and make appropriate recommendations\nMeet regularly with direct reports to provide coaching and feedback for their development\nPerform bench work as needed and maintain proficiency/competency in technical operations\nEnsure all work is in accordance with state and Federal regulations\nResponsible for administering and managing policies and procedures\nProcess and maintain payroll and personnel files\nPerform administrative duties as needed\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology\n5 years of laboratory experience at the technologist level, including 2 years of laboratory experience at the technologist level in flow cytometry\nPreferred Qualification:\nCurrent or prior Labcorp experience\nBachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology\n1 year or more of previous supervisor/leadership experience\nASCP or AMT certification (or equivalent)\nAdditional Job Standards:\nStrong working knowledge of CLIA, CAP and relevant state regulations\nUnderstanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures\nProficient with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office\nStrong communication skills; both written and verbal\nHigh level of attention to detail with strong organizational skills\nComfortability making decisions in a changing environment\nAbility to handle the physical requirements of the position\nAble to pass a standardized color blindness test\nBenefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
