Together, we’re improving health and improving lives.\nLabcorp is seeking a Technical Specialist to join our team at Eye, Suffolk.\nWork Schedule: Monday - Friday - 37.5hrs\nLabcorp is a leading global life sciences company that includes contract research and developmental services to the pharmaceutical, medical technology, crop protection and chemical industries.\nJob Responsibilities:\nLead Method Development activities pertaining to in particular difficult to test chemicals\n\nTrains and directs less experienced laboratory personnel by in developing and implementing training plans\n\nAble to review work of others for overall accuracy, timeliness, completeness and soundness of technical judgement\n\nSets up and performs a variety of studies/analyses using appropriate instrumentation with routine and non-routine methods\n\nAbility to conduct most processes/tasks in support of broad portfolio of study types\n\nCritically review study documentation and suggest changes where appropriate\n\nProvides input and participates in study meetings (ie pre-initiation meeting)\n\nReviews own work for overall accuracy, timeliness, completeness, and soundness of technical judgment\n\nDeliver results within agreed timeframes, whilst recognising changes in priorities.\n\nAbility to write, review and revise standard SOPs\n\nAbility to prepare results and presentations based on the work performed\n\nParticipate in internal method development projects, as appropriate and act as the department process owner as required\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nDegree in Chemistry\n\nAdditional Job Standards:\nExperienced in the use of standard laboratory equipment within Physical Chemistry testing eg: LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, HPLC-uv\n\nProvides technical advice and expertise on the conduct of particular techniques or phases of a study and interpretation of results for inclusion into study reports as well as training and mentoring operational staff in the conduct of these studies\n\nDeveloped an expertise in the specific field of Physical Chemical Testing, pertaining to OECD 100 series testing and CIPAC\n\nSome experience of training team members\n\nProficiency with I.T and computer software packages such as Excel and proven numeracy skills\n\nOrganised and self-motivated with the ability to use own initiative\n\nStrong knowledge of GLP\n\nDue to the remote location of this site, there are no public transport links available\n\nBenefits:\nCompetitive salaries\n\nNo weekend work\n\nWider benefits package including pension and generous holiday allowance\n\nExcellent relocation package (subject to criteria\n\nThe Technical Specialist will join our expanding Physical Chemical Testing team.
