This position will support the design and development of overhead and underground transmission projects while working alongside experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering from an accredited engineering program and 0-3 years of relevant experience. We are looking for a motivated, collaborative problem-solver who takes initiative, embraces challenges, and demonstrates the drive to take ownership of their work and grow into a technical leader.\nResponsibilities\nMust maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with coworkers, staff, project managers, other disciplines, and all other employees \nAssist with the creation of detailed engineering drawings for both underground and overhead transmission lines based on client and industry standards. \nAssist with the development of complete design packages that incorporate all necessary details for construction (construction staking table, stringing charts, cable pulling, etc.) \nDevelop structure framing structure details, to include hardware, insulators, and grounding details based on client and industry standards \nDevelop load-bearing element details (duct banks, vaults, etc.) to include spacers, splicing, and grounding details based on client and industry standards. \nPerform periodic site visits, as required, during the duration of the project to verify design intent and provide engineering support during construction. \nCoordinate with internal and external resources to develop detailed designs and attend regularly scheduled meetings to provide update on the status of the design. \nPerform detailed calculations to support the design and create reports to clearly express those calculations. \nAssist in the preparation of cost estimates \nDevelop knowledge of internal and external document control system, QA/QC, and safety standards. \nResponsible for complete and accurate record keeping and quality of all work performed \nThis job description does not contain a comprehensive list of all activities, duties, and responsibilities that are required of this position.
